My bloomin' cat!
« on: Oct 26 2009, 10:51 AM »
When I woke up the other day
The room began to spin
"Oh not again, so soon?" I said
Oh what a state I'm in!

I made it to the bathroom
& washed my hands and that,
I almost made it back to bed
Then tripped over my cat!

I didn't want a cat, you know,
I found her 3 weeks old
Under old Nancy's shed next door
December, shivering cold.

If I had only left her there
I wouldn't be in this fix.
Just as these evil thoughts progressed,
My hands and face she licks.

You think 'how sweet', she seems to know
That it was cos of her
I hadn't made it back to bed
Instead, was on the floor.

How wrong you are, the sly old fox
Was waiting for her food
She wiped her tail across my face
Just in a right old mood!

I crawled along the landing
And emptied food in tray
She managed to step over me
To eat without delay...

The moral of this tale SHOULD be
Just leave the kitten there
Don't take it home
Don't fall in love
Just walk away, don't care.

But it is not, I'm not that cold,
The moral is, you see
Just keep the cat, (if you feel like that)
Just don't have bloomin' MD!

Take care Kath x

Hi Kath,
Wonderful :)
I too once went over one of my cats and cursed her for a while but then I woke up later to find her curled up in the small of my back keeping me warm.
Bless you and the cat.
