Hearing tests
« on: May 10 2011, 02:10 PM »
Hi,
Quick question. Has anybody had any experience with hearing tests (the pure tone type) bringing on attacks? It has been a while since I had a test but when I used to get them on a regular basis I was always good for an dizzy spell a couple of days later. Not sure whether the test caused the attack or if it was coincidence.

Thanks
Robert

Hi Robert ,
I've found it difficult to get an accurate reading when i'm very symptomatic .When my ears were very full I tended to perceive sounds louder than they really are and when I'm working up to an attack my hearing drops .The only test that did nearly set me off was the brain sten audio response I had done recently and my left ear really did not like the repeated attempts to get a clear trace on that ear  :-\
