Meniere's Awareness Week
« on: Oct 10 2011, 03:30 PM »
Hi everyone ,
This week is Menieres Awareness week culminating in the AGM in London .It's also Lupus Awareness week so after seeing an article in my local paper I contacted them about having a spot about MD and the Manchester group and I've just emailed it off to them .If anyone needs the details of the group please PM me

Thanks, Elaine.

If anyone knows of any up and coming articles or TV mentions of Meniere's Awareness week, I'd be most grateful.

Best, Jeannette

Dear Elaine,

Just to say that I've posted a sort of postscript to this on the main forum.   I have found NOTHING yet on Meniere's Awareness Week.   Maybe you have?

Hi im new but has anyone thought of the Menieres society, suggesting to them to have a menieres awareness week. Im a member, ive often seen reports of people doing fund raises for them but nothing so far about awareness in the media.
Any help we can get is great, to get other people to get an incline to what we all go through would be fantastic. What do you think?
Take care all
Regards

Hi Rose
If you've joined the Meneires Society you'll see the stuff about awareness week in the SPIN magazine .
Jeanette - my own attempts to promote in our local rag were futile .I sent an email which took me ages to type cos they wanted info about the condition too then nobody got back to me and nothing appeared in print  >:(

Hi, at least you had a go at it. Isnt it hard to get anyone interested in anything other than their own life at times, when it doesnt affect them.
Maybe im just being cynical....
