Going see Stoke play !
« on: Oct 20 2011, 04:45 PM »
We go see Stoke City play alot.Got my ear plugs to cut noise down to protect my ears as have Bilateral tinnitus with MD.we always have fun and have take my inhaler with me as have severe asthma. Only thing I hate is walking home  shoulder to shoulder and hundreds of fans in a long line like penguins and literaly no room and takes half hour before starts to thin out a bit.Have to hold on to hubby tight as really hate it and sends my MD in to verry dizzy and giddy spells. Not going let it stop me going but not sure if there are any tips to try help get through the half hour fan crush being surounded by people.x

Sounds fun though. Could you just hang around and wait for the crowds to thin before you leave-maybe treat yourself to a Bovril and pie!

Have you thought about going to see Port Vale?  The crowd problem is much less acute and it is cheaper as well.

I was at Wembly last season to watch my team humiliated by Stoke. That was bad enough but the noise and crowds were equally bad. Earplugs a must next time, I also to try to shut my eyes every now and then and try to get some calm into my head!

And a pie as well !.  Just how much of your 2.5g of salt a day are you trying to get down poor glynis's throat in one sitting chrissie?

Disgraceful.

I think that she should be going to Port Vale and taking a water biscuit.

I was there too Glynis, enjoying the Thursday night games, if only we could win the Sunday after once in a while. And I was also at that Wembley game Andrew. One of the best days of my life, I'm afraid.  8)

Going to Arsenal tomorrow and can't wait!! We'll sing louder, have more fun and cheat and whinge much less. Just hope we get a result.

Up the potters!
