Poor TV Subtitles
« on: Nov 17 2011, 01:36 AM »
If you need to use subtitles on TV you will find many , many mistakes and telling the BBC about it is a waste of time. In a Rolling News program which repeats there is no excuse for so many ridiculous mistakes and delays. The newsreaders are also the people who select the stories before the program. They have a tv prompt to read themselves so why can they not use that to show us what is being said ? There is so much delay they are already on to the next story while we have to finish reading the last one.  It`s a very discriminatory situation if we are not able to stay up with the news.  Apart from news , the comedy shows are a waste of time. The delays destroy the punchlines. >:(

The Ardahl O `Hanlan joke was good yesterday.  Complaining about the Pope etc he said even the word Cassock is an anagram for A-- (23 & 4)   and C---. ( 156 & 7)  See if you can work that one out.      Good eh?
