Has anyone been on cinnarizine/Dimenhydrinate?
« on: Oct 11 2013, 11:48 AM »
Saw my ENT Consultant yesterday and she has put me on this drug plus very high dose of betahistine to stop severe vertigo attacks that I have had recently. I am just wondering if anyone else has tried this method and if so did it help? I'm a menieres sufferer of 17 years now. Luckily had 6 years in remission but its reared its nasty head again ..doh!  >:(

Hi Loretta ,
This drug is also known as Arlevert and is quite effective. I tried it but did get quite a few side effects after a few days on it so I stopped it .I was only taking the standard dose of serc at the same time .Personally I'd have upped the serc first then if that still didn't help drop that back down again and then add in the Arlevert .If you do both at the same time and things improve how will you know which one is the one working ? That's just my thoughts on it .
