Low salt curry
« on: Nov 10 2013, 05:55 PM »
As many of you may already know I have only just started a low salt diet.  I was looking through my freezer for inspiration for a meal.  I came across a Co-op ready meal curry from their "Loved by us" range Chicken Tikka Masala and rice... it has 1.3g of salt per pack (500g).  So for the first time in a week I am having a ready meal and it's a curry... that's two things I didn't think I would be having again!

Hi Dizzy

I have found the Co-op are always the best for salt and Tesco by far the worst , often double the value for an item of other shops. Co-op premium range ( cant remember the name) curry and pasta sauces are relatively low and nice- especially the Sicilian chili tomato one!

Thanks for that information, I simply didn't bother looking at any of the processed things as I presumed that they would be high in salt regardless of which shop it came from.... I will be popping into my Co-op again for more of a look!
