Is hearing loss always progressive?
« on: Apr 19 2014, 03:16 AM »
You always hear that you will eventually become deaf in the Meniere's ear...or close to it. Is that always true for everyone?

Is there nothing we can do about it? How come the vertigo can "burn out" or go into "remission" but the hearing loss cannot recover?

Also, right after a vertigo attack, I always gain good hearing back for a couple of days before it goes down again. Does anyone else get the same thing? If attacks are killing the hearing cells, how come I hear better right afterwards, albeit temporarily?
