MD + gloss paint fumes = disaster
« on: Oct 16 2019, 12:14 PM »
Hi all
So when I was a child I was allergic to paint fumes. Would get very sick and 'headachey'. Yesterday I discovered that paint fumes possibly triggered an attack. We are currently redecorating and I decided to paint the door frames and skirting boards. All was going well and id reached my last door frame. Then BANG! The blurred vision. The dizziness. Off to bed I went and was totally incapacitated for quite a few hours. Got up to go to the toilet and vomited. Back to bed again. Had a terrible night. Feel rotten today but on my feet again thank God. Anyone any views on this
Could paint fumes be a trigger?

I've not ever had a smell trigger my meniere's, but I wouldn't say it was impossible.  I guess we are all different and what is a trigger for one person may not be for another.  If you think it is then leave it for a while and try again (that may not be practical, but worth a thought).
